The weather was great this past week, so we took the boys to the beach a couple of times.  Owen is getting more used to the sand, and Jude just loves it there.

Here are a few recent pictures of our very active baby Owen.

We let Jude play with some play-dough the other day, and he made this creation without any help.  Can you tell what it is?  According to Jude, it's a birthday cake with a candle.

Jude and Owen love taking baths together.

Jude started splashing, and then Owen realized how fun it was.

The other morning, Owen broke a train track that Jude and I had just built.  This made Jude very mad, and he immediately told Owen to "Go to time out!"  Just to see how Jude would react, I picked up Owen and sat him down in time out.  Jude looked very pleased.  Then he ran over, picked up our camera and asked me, "Take a picture of Owen?"  Apparently, this was such a momentous occasion that it had to documented.

Jude and Owen enjoy the occasional wrestling match.

When we were looking through the pictures on our camera the other day, we discovered a large collection of photos that Jude had apparently taken on his own.  Here are just four of the 43 pictures he took.

We took the boys to Reptile Fest at UIC on Saturday. It was really fun. Jude loved petting and holding all of the animals.

Jude fell in love with this "baby turtle". It made us want to get a pet turtle.

Jude wasn't scared of the snakes at all. I think we were more scared of them than he was.

Happy Easter! Yesterday, we made our annual spring trip to a farm outside of the city. The boys got to see the Easter bunny, and pet lots of baby farm animals. More than anything, Jude loved running around in the open fields with other kids; and Owen had a good time watching his big brother.

This was the first year that Jude didn't freak out when we handed him over to the Easter bunny; and luckily for Owen, he's still too young to realize he was being held by a giant rabbit.

Jude overcame his fear of horses. When they told him that this horse's name was Sugar, he corrected them and said its name was Bullseye (that's the horse from Toy Story).

"Cheeeeese"

This turkey was "too loud" according to Jude.
